Wow! Talk about a fast cool down. With the June long weekend, the Euro Cup, and the hot weather, the market seemed to have slowed significantly. There seems to be nothing really going on - showings seemed to have dropped to rock bottom levels, and a lot of my buyer-clients have decided to wait to see what is going to happen...and my seller clients are asking me "What happened?"
Seems there are a lot of listings coming up now, and a lot more price changes than at the end of May. Also those "multiple offer situations" seemed to have cooled down, so buyers may have a little more power, but we are still in a "Seller's Market," and with the way things are looking, now may be a good time to buy because there will probably be a September rush.
Interest rates are still low. Mortgages are almost free money - although rules are a little more stringent, but for most people out there, looking for a home, it is still a great opportunity to buy a family home.
